Thank You The Bracken’s Alvaston
On Saturday 10th October 2015 Carl Wallace, Andrew Page, Mark Bostock & Tim Condon donated £547.65 to Derbyshire, Leicestershire & Rutland Air Ambulance (DLRAA).
Carl Wallace, Andrew Page, Mark Bostock and Tim Condon presented Richard Fletcher, Derbyshire community representative for DLRAA, with the cheque at the Bracken Pub in Alvaston Derby. The donation was made when two weeks earlier our helicopter landed at the park near to The Bracken to help at a road traffic collision, and these regulars to the pub were so inspired with what the saw they decided to raise some money for us.
This was done in a quite an unusual way – they chose to cut their hair and dyed it yellow and asked people to sponsor them
Richard said: “I was delighted to be presented with the cheque from Carl Wallace, Andrew Page, Mark Bostock & Tim Condon, DLRAA relies entirely on donations from members of the public as it receives no government funding. Support from people like Carl, Andrew, Mark, Tim and everyone who supported them is invaluable and goes a long way to helping to keep our lifesaving service flying and saving lives.”
