Children’s Air Ambulance announces new Bristol Development Board
The Children’s Air Ambulance (TCAA) is thrilled to announce an exciting partnership with the newly established Bristol Development Board, marking the beginning of an innovative initiative set to make a profound impact across Bristol and beyond.
This collaboration signals the launch of a brand-new endeavour aimed at raising vital funds and awareness for the vital children’s charity, while fostering community engagement and support.
The Bristol Development Board, comprised of eight influential individuals deeply committed to the charity and community development, will spearhead fundraising efforts to support the charity’s lifesaving missions.
With a shared goal of raising £50,000 in the inaugural year, this dynamic group of leaders brings together diverse expertise and networks to drive meaningful donations and support of the Children’s Air Ambulance.
The Children’s Air Ambulance is a national charity changing the face of paediatric and neonatal care through the high-speed transfer of critically ill babies and children – flying them from one hospital to another for specialist care via the clinically designed helicopters, which provide a flying intensive care unit for babies and children.
“We are excited about announcing the Bristol Development Board to further support our lifesaving service across the Southwest,” said Lynn Wood, Community Fundraising Manager at the Children’s Air Ambulance.
“Each member’s dedication and passion for our cause will play a pivotal role in expanding our impact and ensuring that critically ill babies and children have access to the lifesaving care they urgently need.”
The new partnership between the Children’s Air Ambulance and the Bristol Development Board marks the beginning of a collaborative effort to raise awareness and funds for paediatric and neonatal air transfers which receives no government or NHS funding.
“It is truly inspirational to see all the amazing work that the employees and volunteers do in raising funds and saving lives for the Children’s Air Ambulance,” expressed Chair of the Board, Jonathan Appleby.
“I was honoured to be asked to be Chair of the newly formed development board and I’m incredibly grateful to my fellow board members for their contribution of their time and ideas.
“Our collective ambition is to help the charity raise vital funds which will enable them to continue the lifesaving critical missions which provide support for children and their families,” he added.
As the partnership between the Children’s Air Ambulance and the Bristol Development Board takes flight, the local public and business community are invited to join in supporting this vital charity.
