Thank You 2nd Belper St Peters Guides
On Monday 11th January, the 2nd Belper St Peters Guides donated £134.36 to the Derbyshire, Leicestershire & Rutland Air Ambulance (DLRAA).
The Guides decided to raise some money for DLRAA through the Bottle Bank fundraising campaign, where they asked people to find an empty plastic bottle and fill it up with cash. Through this combined effort the guides filled an amazing 20 bottles to raise the £134.36.
Donna Roberts and the Guides from the 2nd Belper St Peters Guides presented Richard Fletcher, Derbyshire community representative for DLRAA, with the cheque at Belper Congregational Church in Belper.
Richard said: “I was delighted to be presented with the cheque from the 2nd Belper St Peters Guides. DLRAA relies entirely on donations from members of the public as it receives no government. Therefore support from people such as the 2nd Belper St Peters Guides really is invaluable and goes a long way to helping to keep our lifesaving service flying and saving lives.”
