Our Supporter Thank Yous – March
Here are our Thank Yous for March. We’re always amazed by the generosity of our fundraisers, volunteers and everyone who helps to keep us saving lives – every single one of you is incredible.
Breaston Women’s Institute
£800 was raised by Breaston Women’s Institute. Thank you to all the people who made the amazing contributions and to our wonderful volunteer, John Brown who presented the cheque to group member Janice Dawson
The Derwent Valley Gun Dog Display Team
£2580 was raised by the team through putting on demonstrations of the dogs working at dog shows, steam fayres and ploughing matches across 2018. We presented their cheque at our air base where the team got to see the helicopter take off and land. The comments from some of the members were that “It’s inspired us to really push the boat out this year”.
Great Oakley Women’s Institute
We received an In Memory donation of £300 raised by Gladys Williams in memory of her late husband, Noel Willams. It was our absolute pleasure and joy to meet Gladys and can’t thank her enough for the money she’s raised. We also undertook an awareness presentation for the group where we kindly received £100 donations from all of the generous ladies.
Butchers Petcare, Crick
Hazel Townsend and the wonderful Team at Butchers Petcare had a Christmas Raffle, with items that had been kindly donated to them throughout the year and they raised a massive £777.50 for The Air Ambulance Service.
£289.50 was raised for The Air Ambulance Service from a raffle held by Franco. Thank you for all those who bought tickets and helped to raise a great donation.
WMRAC – aka The Doghouse Owner’s Club
A massive thank you to WMRAC (affectionately known as The Dog owners club) for their wonderful donation again this year of £2,500.
Our Community Fundraising Executive, Stacey Randall, was invited to a lovely afternoon tea at Silverstone Golf Club where she was presented with this fantastic donation to The Air Ambulance Service by Elizabeth Walkinshaw. The money was raised by a changing gear event, where designer clothes and accessories or top end high street clothes were re-sold and various other events, including raffles.
Jillian & Ken Harrington
£535.00 of donations were raised after celebrating their Golden Wedding Anniversary this month. Donations to The Air Ambulance were asked for instead of receiving presents. Thank you to both Jillian and Ken for choosing to raise money for us and we hope they had the most wonderful anniversary.
Ikeston Borough Golf Club
£728 was raised for us from this brilliant club. The fundraising event included; a Seve Ballesteros day, where members dressed as “Seve” for a round of golf, a Captains “Triathlon Challenge;” 9 Holes of Golf followed by Darts and Pool with competition day “food for a donation” becoming a regular favourite. Thank you so much who took part and helped to raise this fantastic amount of money.
Erewash Valley Golf Club
Captain Sue Powell and members presented our volunteer Keith Murfin with a cheque for £2167.65. This incredible amount was raised from cake sales, clothes and bric-a-brac. We can’t thank everyone involved enough, this level of donation will go to help so many people.
Warwickshire Federation of Women’s Institute AGM
The Air Ambulance Service was chosen as their centenary charity of the year. The ladies have been extremely busy raising money in a multitude of ways including bake sales, raffles and tombolas to name a few. A whopping £9,700 was presented and they raised an additional £210.55 on the day. This is an incredible amount and we are so grateful for everyone who helped support these amazing women to reach this donation amount.
