Thank You Ecclesbourne School

On the 7th of January a group of Year 13 Ecclesbourne Business A-level students organised and held a charity quiz night as part of their GCE qualification. This was in aid of the Derbyshire, Leicestershire & Rutland Air Ambulance.

They chose the air ambulance as it plays a vital role in saving people’s lives and receives no government funding.

The event itself was a charity quiz night and a raffle. As a group they organized every aspect of the night from raffle prizes to risk assessments to floor plans. The event was a massive success and they sold the maximum capacity tickets for the venue.

The event as a whole made a massive £740.

DLRAA and the Year 13s would like to say thank you to everybody who attended the event as well as anyone who bought raffle tickets. We would also like to say a special thank you to the businesses who donated prizes for the raffle.

The air ambulance also want to say a big thank you to the students themselves, who worked so hard to arrange the event and raise money.

The cheque was presented to Keith Murfin, a local volunteer for the air ambulance, who commented that these youngsters are not only a credit to their school and family but also to themselves.
