CLOTHING DONATIONS:
WHAT WE ACCEPT, WHAT WE CAN’T, AND HOW THEY HELP

WHAT CLOTHING CAN I DONATE?
We gladly accept clean, wearable clothing in a sellable condition, ideally washed and ready for the shop floor. All styles and types are welcome, including:
-
Men’s and women’s clothing
-
Baby and children’s clothes
-
Paired shoes
-
Watches and jewellery
-
Sunglasses, hats, and handbags
We can store seasonal pieces like skiwear until the right time of year. Before donating, please check all items are clean and damage-free.
Did you know? It costs charities to dispose of unsellable items—money that could go towards saving lives.

WHAT CLOTHING CANNOT BE ACCEPTED?
While we’re grateful for all offers, there are some items we sadly can’t accept due to resale restrictions or condition:
-
Work uniforms
-
Dirty or stained clothing
-
Ripped or torn items
-
Missing buttons or broken zips
-
Prescription sunglasses
-
Wedding dresses, veils, and bridal shoes
Please take a moment to check your donations are clean, wearable, and in good condition. If in doubt, we’re happy to help.

WHAT HAPPENS TO MY DONATED CLOTHES?
In-store clothing donations are checked for quality and those which are suitable are sold in our high street shops. Those which are unsellable are disposed of—sadly this comes at a cost to the charity. Clothing donated to banks are sent for recycling, and we receive back a monetary donation.
Each mission for Your Local Air Ambulance mission costs £2,300, and £5,500 for the National Children’s Air Ambulance. Your preloved clothes make a real difference.
WHERE CAN I DONATE CLOTHES?
Donating to Your Local Air Ambulance and the National Children’s Air Ambulance is simple. You can drop off items at any of our charity shops or donation stations across the region.
Can’t get to a store or clothing bank? No problem – just contact our team to arrange a convenient collection from your home.
