A quick response 
to save Penny’s life
Last summer, a holiday to Whitby turned into a medical emergency for Penny, a 19-month-old toddler who had already faced a life-changing battle before. Less than a year earlier, at just 8 months old, Penny had undergone a lifesaving liver transplant at Birmingham Children’s Hospital. But as her family gathered for a relaxing summer break, Penny’s health suddenly took a turn for the worse.

Helimed54 were tasked to a medical emergency in Gartree at 17:55 and were on scene at 18:13. Working alongside EMAS, the crew treated a patient following a cardiac arrest before transferring them to hospital by land ambulance.
Helimed53 were tasked to a psychiatric emergency in Market Harborough at 20:55 and were on scene at 21:10. Working alongside EMAS, the crew assisted with the treatment and assessment of a patient before they were left in the care of the ambulance service for onward transfer to hospital.
Medic54 were tasked to an assault incident in Swadlincote at 22:48 and were on scene at 23:18. Working alongside EMAS, the crew treated a patient with serious injuries before they were transferred to hospital by land ambulance.
Medic54 were tasked to an RTC in Nottingham at 01:07 and were on scene at 01:20. Working alongside EMAS, the crew assessed and treated a patient with a head injury before transferring them to hospital by land ambulance.
Helimed54 were tasked to a medical emergency in Broughton Astley at 09:44 and were on scene at 09:53. Working alongside EMAS, the crew treated a patient following reports of seizures before transferring them to hospital by land ambulance.
Helimed53 were tasked to a fall incident in Blaby at 09:02 and were on scene at 09:15. Working alongside EMAS, the crew provided advanced pain relief to a patient with a serious leg injury before they were transferred to hospital by land ambulance.
Helimed54 were tasked to a medical emergency in Kibworth Harcourt at 08:20 and were on scene at 08:39. Working alongside EMAS, the crew treated a patient suffering anaphylaxis, providing advanced critical care interventions before transferring them to hospital by land ambulance.
Helimed54 were tasked to an assault incident at 15:51 and were on scene at 16:07. Working alongside EMAS, the crew treated a patient with serious injuries before transferring them to hospital by land ambulance.
Helimed54 were tasked to an RTC in Grantham at 18:18 and were on scene at 18:30. Working alongside EMAS, the crew assessed and treated a motorcyclist involved in a collision before they were left in the care of the ambulance service for onward transfer to hospital.
Medic53 were tasked to an assault incident in Warwick at 22:54 and were on scene at 23:05. Working alongside WMAS, the crew treated two patients with serious injuries before one patient was transferred to hospital by land ambulance.
Medic53 were tasked to a burns incident in Northampton at 23:57 and were on scene at 00:26. Working alongside EMAS, the crew treated a patient with burn injuries before transferring them to hospital by land ambulance.
