A long-standing legacy supporter, they sought a meaningful way to honour their late husband after his passing, choosing to make a donation that would create a lasting and practical legacy.

Their support enabled the purchase of a male thoracotomy manikin, which was subsequently named in memory of their husband. This manikin has become an invaluable training tool, allowing our crew and medical professionals to practice complex, life-saving procedures in a safe and controlled environment.

Recognising the ongoing need for comprehensive training, this supporter later funded a female thoracotomy manikin, designed to enable our teams to train for pregnancy-related emergencies. These contributions have directly enhanced the skills, confidence, and readiness of our crew, ultimately improving the care we can provide to patients in critical situations.
