Nuneaton charity store celebrates over a decade of funding vital missions

Your local air ambulance’s Nuneaton charity store celebrates an incredible eleven years of funding vital missions for the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance (WNAA).

Situated in the heart of Nuneaton town centre the store opened on 30 November 2011 selling both new and pre-loved items – generating income for the lifesaving service.

The store has generated an amazing £1,252,843.71 worth of sales for the charity over the past eleven years, funding more than 730 potentially lifesaving missions across Warwickshire and further afield.

The local store has received 40,305 bags of donated goods but continues to require support from the local community with further donations of new and preloved items, as these provide vital income for the charity.

Funding from the charity’s retail stores such as this one keeps the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance crews on the frontline 24/7, 365 days a year, ensuring they can deliver pre-hospital critical care to those who need it most.

Store Manager Paul said: “Myself and the team would like to say thank you to every single member of the community in Nuneaton for their support over the years, whether they’ve donated or shopped with us, this provides vital funding for our lifesaving service.”

“We receive no government funding and without this continued support and generosity our crews wouldn’t be able to help save lives.”

“We always require quality donations, especially during the winter months, which helps us to offer the best choice on the high street,” he added.

The dedicated support from the local supporters is vital so that the crews can continue to be on the ground within minutes helping to deliver lifesaving care and giving patients the very best chance of survival.

The charity is celebrating its 20th anniversary of lifesaving service across Warwickshire and Northamptonshire in 2023. To help mark the momentous milestone the charity is asking for supporters to send in any photos, footage, clippings, or share their stories to help showcase how well the service has developed over the years into the leading provider of pre-hospital critical care it is today.
