Northamptonshire charity store celebrates funding more than 1,000 lifesaving missions
Your local air ambulance charity homeware store in Daventry is celebrating funding more than 1,000 lifesaving missions for the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance (WNAA).
The homeware store is one of two WNAA stores in Daventry and opened its doors on 25 May 2012, in the heart of Daventry town centre. Over the past twelve years the charity store has generated a phenomenal £2,417,334.15, funding more than 1,000 lifesaving missions in Northamptonshire and further afield.
The store has also received an amazing 115,433 bags of donated goods but continues to require support from the local community with further donations of new and preloved items, as these provide vital income for the charity.
Within minutes, WNAA’s critical care crews can be on the ground delivering pre-hospital emergency care and giving patients the very best chance of survival – this vital service relies entirely on donations to raise the £2,300 needed for each rescue mission, as the charity receives no government or National Lottery funding.
Store Manager Luke Gargan said: “We would like to thank everyone in the local community for their incredible support over the past twelve years. Without this support we wouldn’t have been able to raise such a phenomenal amount to the support the charity’s lifesaving missions.”
“We receive no government or National Lottery funding for our lifesaving missions, so continue to rely on the generous support of the local community to keep our helicopters flying 24/7, 365 days a year,” he added.
