Methodist Churches proudly raise vital funds to support lifesaving charity

Members from the Collycroft, Ryton and Bedworth Methodist Churches came together to raise vital funds to support the lifesaving missions of the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance (WNAA).

The Collycroft, Ryton and Bedworth Methodist Churches have been holding an annual carol singing event since 2013 to raise funds for the deserving charity. During 2023 they held two carol singing events at the Bedworth Tesco Store just before Christmas, raising a total of £514.00.

“We would like to thank all the singers, the helpful and encouraging Tesco’s staff and to all the shoppers who have donated so generously and took their time to speak with us,” said Kath.

“These events were held to raise funds to support the charity and to thank them for all they do for the local community, meaning they can continue to save lives in Warwickshire and further afield,” she added.

Within minutes, WNAA’s critical care crews can be on the ground delivering pre-hospital emergency care and giving patients the very best chance of survival – this vital service relies entirely on donations to raise the £2,300 needed for each rescue mission, as the charity receives no government or National Lottery funding.

Sally Newman, Community Fundraising Executive for Warwickshire said:

“We would like to say thank you to all the members of Collycroft, Ryton and Bedworth Methodist Churches who took part in the carol singing to raise vital funds to support us.”

“Without support like this our charity wouldn’t be able to continue to provide pre-hospital critical care to those who need it most, 24/7, 365 days a year,” she expressed.
