Local charity boutique store funds almost 400 lifesaving missions

Your Local Air Ambulance charity boutique based in Wellingborough is celebrating funding almost 400 lifesaving missions for the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance (WNAA), which this year celebrates 20 years of vital service.

Situated in the heart of Wellingborough, the boutique charity store opened its doors on 13 April 2015, and over the past eight years has generated an amazing £650,080.07 worth of sales for the charity – funding almost 400 missions throughout Warwickshire, Northamptonshire and further afield.

The local store has received 20,453 bags of donated goods over the years but continues to require support from the local community with further donations of new and preloved items, as these provide vital income for the charity.

The Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance crews can be on the ground within minutes helping to deliver lifesaving care and giving patients the very best chance of survival – so the dedicated support from its local supporters has been and continues to be greatly appreciated by the charity.

“We would like to say a big thank you to the local community for all of the support we have received since we opened eight years ago and to our volunteers for their hard work and dedication to the day-to-day running of the store,” said Store Manager, Natalie Crowley.

“We receive no government funding, so we rely solely on the generous donations we receive to keep our helicopters flying. Every donation or sale means we can continue our lifesaving missions across Warwickshire, Northamptonshire and further afield,” she added.

The charity is celebrating 20 years of providing lifesaving service across Warwickshire and Northamptonshire, developing over the years into the leading provider of pre-hospital critical care it is today. To help the charity mark this momentous milestone and support it so its missions can continue, why not visit a charity store and grab a bargain, donate unwanted clothing to one of many clothing banks, get involved in a challenge event, fundraise, or even sign up to volunteer.
