Brackley Business funds two air ambulance missions
A go-karting event has driven in donations to raise vital funds for the lifesaving services of the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance (WNAA).
The Brackley-based Xclusive Recruitment organised a charity go-karting evening alongside their business partners in a bid to raise essential funds for the 24/7 frontline charity. The event saw eleven teams racing around the Formula Fast indoor karting track at high speeds, battling it out to become the winning team.
The Mercedes F1 Flat, no lift team were crowned the winners of the evening, with the Yodel Full Throttle team taking a close second place, and the Pallex Red Arrows placing third.
“We had a great time and are thrilled to have been able to put on this evening in support of the local air ambulance which does such an amazing job, saving lives across Northamptonshire and further afield,” said David Doolan, Founder and MD of Xclusive Recruitment.
Each mission costs the charity £1,700, and Xclusive Recruitment’s efforts in raising an outstanding £3,700 will fund two potentially lifesaving missions.
Darcy Hodges, Community Fundraising Executive for WNAA, said: “The support of our local community and businesses is so important to our charity as we receive no government or national lottery for our daily missions. Events like these mean so much to us as they help to keep our service operational, and we are so grateful for Xclusive Recruitment’s support in doing this.
“Raising £3,700 is truly remarkable and this amount will go towards keeping our local air ambulance out on the frontline providing an expert level of critical care to those who need it most. So, a huge thank you to the Xclusive Recruitment team and their business partners for their support.”
The Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance will continue to work around the clock over the festive period – including Christmas Day – and urges the public to support it through one of its many great fundraising events, including a Virtual Santa Fun Run.
