Allenton charity store celebrates funding almost 500 lifesaving missions

Your local air ambulance charity boutique store in Allenton is celebrating funding almost 500 lifesaving missions for the Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Rutland Air Ambulance (DLRAA).

The store opened its doors on 16 February 2018 and is situated in Allenton, Derbyshire. Over the past six years the charity boutique has generated £1,130,941.00, incredibly funding almost 500 lifesaving missions – ensuring the charity can continue to deliver lifesaving pre-hospital critical care to those who need it most.

Within minutes, DLRAA’s critical care crews can be on the ground delivering pre-hospital emergency care and giving patients the very best chance of survival – this vital service relies entirely on donations to raise the £2,300 needed for each rescue mission, as the charity receives no government or National Lottery funding.

The store has also received 38,480 bags of donated goods but continues to require support from the local community with further donations of new and preloved items, as these provide vital income for the charity.

Store Manager Dawn Bridger said: “We would like to thank everyone in the local community for their incredible support over the past six years. We receive no government or National Lottery funding for the lifesaving missions, so rely on the community’s support with donations of pre-loved items as these provide vital income for the charity.”

“We sell high-quality new and pre-loved items so please visit our store to pick up a bargain and support a lifesaving charity in the process,” she added.
