A Former Patient meets Alfie Boe
David Brocklehurst, a former air ambulance patient, went to George House, the Asda HQ in Lutterworth to speak to their staff about our lifesaving charity.
David spoke about his patient experience, where he had slipped on icy rocks sustaining a head injury on the moors in the Peak District and was quickly airlifted to hospital by Derbyshire Leicestershire and Rutland Air Ambulance.
David also thanked Asda on behalf of the charity for supporting us over the last six years. Asda donate clothes which are sold to their staff in what they call their sample shop. It is open just five hours a week and the air ambulance staff and volunteers run the shop; to date it has raised over £500,000! An incredible contribution to our organisation!
Singer and actor Alfie Boe was due to sing at the event and David, who is a choirmaster and great fan of the Tenor, met him before giving his talk which he was blown away by.
