A quick response 
to save Penny’s life
Last summer, a holiday to Whitby turned into a medical emergency for Penny, a 19-month-old toddler who had already faced a life-changing battle before. Less than a year earlier, at just 8 months old, Penny had undergone a lifesaving liver transplant at Birmingham Children’s Hospital. But as her family gathered for a relaxing summer break, Penny’s health suddenly took a turn for the worse.

Medic53 were tasked to a medical emergency in Royal Leamington Spa at 05:29 and were on scene at 05:55. Working alongside WMAS, the crew provided advanced critical care interventions before transferring a patient to hospital by land ambulance.
Helimed53 were tasked to a medical emergency in Market Harborough at 08:45 and were on scene at 09:01. Working alongside EMAS, the crew assessed and treated a patient following a collapse before they were transferred to hospital by land ambulance for further care.
Medic54 were tasked to a medical emergency in West Handley at 20:52 and were on scene at 21:12. Working alongside EMAS, the crew provided advanced critical care interventions before transferring a patient to hospital by land ambulance.
Medic53 were tasked to an RTC in Blaby at 22:23 and were on scene at 22:55. The crew responded to reports of a two-vehicle road traffic collision before being stood down at scene.
Helimed53 were tasked to a medical emergency in West Northamptonshire at 19:34 and were on scene at 19:55. Working alongside EMAS, the crew treated a patient following a cardiac arrest before transferring them to hospital by land ambulance after a successful resuscitation and advanced critical care interventions.
Working alongside clinical partner team Embrace in the North, the G-CPTZ crew and NCAA Airdesk team completed an incubator transfer to Doncaster in just 32mins. The same journey by road would have taken 1hr 34mins.
Helimed54 were tasked to a medical emergency in Breaston at 13:21 and were on scene at 13:33. Working alongside EMAS, the crew treated a patient following a cardiac arrest, providing advanced critical care interventions before transferring them to hospital by land ambulance.
Helimed53 were tasked to a medical emergency in Warwick at 17:53 and were on scene at 18:08. Working alongside WMAS, the crew assessed a patient following a cardiac arrest before they were transferred to hospital by land ambulance for onward care.
Medic53 were tasked to a medicial emergency in Grendon at 00:49 and were on scene at 01:18. Working alongside WMAS, the crew treated a patient requiring advanced critical care interventions before transferring them to hospital by land ambulance.
Medic53 were tasked to a psychiatric emergency in Grendon at 00:49 and were on scene at 01:18. Working alongside WMAS, the crew treated a patient requiring advanced critical care interventions before transferring them to hospital by land ambulance.
Helimed53 were tasked to a trauma incident in Kettering at 10:52 and were on scene at 11:10. Working alongside EMAS, the crew assessed and treated a patient before transferring them to hospital by land ambulance.
Helimed53 were tasked to a fall incident in Great Addington at 15:48 and were on scene at 16:09. Working alongside EMAS, the crew assessed a patient following a fall at home before they were left in the care of the ambulance service for onward transfer to hospital.
