TAAS Clinical Lead shortlisted for Lifetime Achievement Award

We recently announced that two members of our Clinical Team had been shortlisted for awards at the Air Ambulances UK Awards of Excellence, as well as our Clinical Lead, Dr Matthew Wyse, being nominated for the Lifetime Achievement Award.

We’re immensely proud to further announce that Dr Matthew Wyse has now been shortlisted for the Lifetime Achievement Award.

Dr Matthew Wyse has been with the charity since day one of operations and has worked tirelessly to champion a culture where TAAS doctors and paramedics work together cohesively and interchangeably to ensure the highest level of patient care. An advocate of sharing knowledge and learning, Dr Wyse believes strongly in collaboration between air ambulance services and within regions to support improvements for patient benefit and he is well respected within the pre-hospital and air ambulance community for his experience and sound judgement.

Commenting on Dr Matthew Wyse’s shortlisting achievement, Director of Operations Richard Clayton said: “On behalf of the charity, I’d like to say a huge congratulations and thank you to Dr Wyse for his dedication to not only our charity, but across the pre-hospital and air ambulance community over the past 20 years.

“Dr Wyse is exceptionally generous with his time offering support 24/7 and is the rock of our service. He has made a consistent contribution to improving TAAS over many years and has been pivotal in the development of our air ambulance. We believe he is deserving of this award for the sustained commitment he has shown to develop TAAS and the wider air ambulance community.”
