Captain Sir Tom Moore, You’ll Never Walk Alone

Following the news of the passing of Captain Sir Tom Moore, the hero who won the hearts and minds of the nation in a time of great difficulty, The Air Ambulance Service would like to pay tribute to the 100-year-old and his inspiring life.

In 2020, Captain Tom, a World War Two veteran, walked 100 lengths of his garden to fundraise for the NHS and ended up winning the support of a nation through his incredible determination. Raising nearly £33million for the NHS, he touched the hearts of people across the world and, as such, was awarded a Knighthood.
