Fuel recruitment are going the extra mile!

Ten employees from Fuel Recruitment, a specialist recruitment company for the IT, Consulting, Telecoms and Engineering industries, are undertaking a “Coast 2 Coast” bike ride to raise money for The Air Ambulance Service.

The elite team of largely inexperienced cyclists, have been training hard over the last weeks to get ‘challenge ready’ so that they can take on an epic 137 mile cycle! They embark on their three day journey at Whitehaven on 14th September and cycle all the way to Tynemouth by Sunday 16th September.

Over the years Fuel Recruitment has raised over £150,000 for worthy charities through events such as this, and part of the money raised from their challenge is being donated to us, their local air ambulance, to help keep our helicopters flying!

Murray West, Head of Sales commented, “The Air Ambulance Service are a charity close to our hearts, which is why they are one of our charities of the year. We are all out training hard for the challenge, the first day will be the hardest as we cycle off-road for 53 miles!”

The challenge itinerary:

Friday 14/09/2018 –  Whitehaven to Penrith – 53 miles

Saturday 15/09/2018 – Penrith to Stanhope – 43 miles

Sunday 16/09/2018 – Stanhope to Tynemouth – 41 miles
