Leading Lights members have a sparkling night
Last week, guests came together for an evening of business and pleasure at The Ivy, West Street, for our latest ‘Leading Lights’ dinner in support of our Children’s Air Ambulance.
The evening began with a Champagne reception where guests had the chance to meet and mingle, followed by a delicious three-course dinner. Guests were addressed by Children’s Air Ambulance CEO, Andy Williamson, to raise the awareness of the vital work of our service which is dedicated to flying critically ill babies and children to the specialist care that they need, Paediatric Intensive Care Consultant Dr Shelley Riphagen and the Leading Lights panel. As our national charity relies solely on generous donations, the evening then concluded with an auction of four special items, a Pink Floyd ‘Dark Side of the Moon’ Canvas by celebrity artist Sue Verity signed by Nick Mason, Sheep Farming 40th Anniversary poster signed by Toyah Willcox, a Drum Skin signed by four legendary drummers and an ‘Out of the Shadows’ book written by Mackenzie Thorpe with a matching Tote bag – Along with a raffle of other fantastic prizes, the evening raised a fantastic £1,540.00!
Many of our special guests are from the worlds of business, politics, sport, entertainment, arts and the media; making every event interesting and fun. The Leading Lights panel for this exquisite evening were:
