Cheshire business to raise vital funds to support children’s charity
FSB Cheshire (Federation of Small Businesses) will be raising vital funds in 2024 to support the Children’s Air Ambulance (TCAA), helping to save the lives of critically ill babies and children across the UK.
FSB was established over 45 years ago to help the members succeed in business. They are a non-profit and non-party political organisation that’s led by the members, for the members. Members receive an exclusive package of great value business services including advice, financial products and support, legal and HR advice as well as local networking groups and business banking.
During 2024 FSB Cheshire will be holding a variety of fundraising events throughout the year, including a ‘golf day’ to raise funds to support the children’s charity’s lifesaving missions.
“Working closely with the Children’s Air Ambulance as our chosen charity for next year has allowed our members and myself to gain an invaluable insight into the vital service and what they do,” said Darren Gallimore, Membership Advisor for the Federation of Small Business in Cheshire.
“To know that our members will contribute towards the continued success of the children’s charity fills me with immense pride and satisfaction. Being a parent myself and knowing that the Children’s Air Ambulance is able to provide high-speed transfers for critically ill babies and children and can get them to a specialist hospital as quickly as possible, fills me with all the reassurance that any parent needs.
“We look forward to our continued partnership and can’t wait to support them in 2024,” he added.
The Children’s Air Ambulance is changing the face of paediatric and neonatal care through the high-speed transfer of critically ill babies and children – flying them from local hospitals to specialist paediatric and neonatal treatment centres via the clinically designed helicopters which provide a flying intensive care unit for babies and children.
The charity works alongside 11 NHS Clinical Partner Teams across the UK, including North West & North Wales Paediatric Transport Service (NWTS), an NHS children’s intensive care transport team covering the north of Wales, the north-west of England and transfers from the Isle of Man.
Community Fundraising Executive for the charity, Kim Wright, said:
“We would like to thank everyone at FSB Cheshire for choosing to support our children’s charity and helping to raise awareness for our vital service.
“Without support from the local community and businesses, our high-speed transfers wouldn’t be able to continue. We receive no government or National Lottery funding so every penny they raise will be vital in helping us to keep our helicopters flying.”
“Partnerships like this are keeping hope alive for the little lives we fly,” she added.
