Charity store celebrates funding more than 400 lifesaving missions for children’s charity
The Children’s Air Ambulance (TCAA) charity store in Muswell Hill, London is celebrating funding more than 400 lifesaving missions for critically ill babies and children across the UK.
The charity store opened its doors on 24 May 2013 and over the eleven years, the hardworking store team have generated £1,527,937.71 worth of sales for the charity, funding more than 400 vital missions, enabling the charity to continue saving young lives.
The boutique store has also received 20,029 bags of generously donated goods since 2017, which have provided vital income for the charity, but they continue to require the support of the local community for further donations of new and preloved items.
The Children’s Air Ambulance is changing the face of paediatric and neonatal care through the high-speed transfer of critically ill babies and children – flying them from local hospitals to specialist paediatric and neonatal treatment centres via the clinically designed helicopters which provide a flying intensive care unit for babies and children.
The charity works alongside 11 NHS Clinical Partner Teams across the UK, including CATS (Children’s Acute Transport Team) based at Great Ormond Street in London and transfer critically ill babies and children to and from hospitals throughout England and Wales.
Store Manager Julia Noble said:
“We would like to thank everyone in the local community for their amazing support over the last eleven years. Without this support we wouldn’t have been able to continue to save little lives across the UK.”
“Funding from our charity stores ensures we can keep our lifesaving transfer missions for critically ill babies and children possible,” she expressed.
