Emma’s Story

“If the air ambulance didn’t exist, then I’m sure I wouldn’t have survived. I believe it was their speed and medical skills that saved my life.”

Emma

Emma was driving down a country lane when she was involved in a horrific collision. Emma’s car, a small Ford Ka, collided head on with the supermarket delivery van.

She suffered appalling injuries including a broken elbow, ribs, jaw, pelvis and femurs, as well as a punctured lung and crushed spleen. Her injuries were life threatening.

Within minutes our helicopter was at the scene. Our crew sedated Emma before airlifting her to hospital for further treatment.

Thankfully Emma went onto make a full recovery. She now raises funds for the service that helped save her life.
