Our Clinical Lead Celebrates 16 Year Milestone

Not only has our Warwickshire & Northamptonshire Air Ambulance celebrated 16 years of lifesaving service, but our clinical lead Dr Matthew Wyse has also reached this incredible milestone with us!

On this day in 2003 Matthew attended his first mission, a horse riding incident, and 16 years on, he was out today attending RTCs.

“There have been many highlights throughout my time here so far, getting the service up and running, starting up the Derbyshire, Leicestershire & Rutland Air Ambulance and helping expand the team of clinicians and critical care paramedics, giving the ever-evolving air ambulance service a real strong identity. I work with a fantastic group of dedicated colleagues who have consistently delivered high-quality care.

The biggest highlight is when we receive correspondence from the patients we’ve attended or when they come and visit us at base, it’s great to see them again and highlights exactly what the air ambulance service is all about.” – Dr Matthew Wyse
