Teams from GXO Logistics’ Primark sites in Lutterworth and Thrapston have shown fantastic support for The Air Ambulance Service through two Go Yellow Together fundraising events, followed by a special visit to the charity’s airbase at Coventry Airport.
The Lutterworth team hosted two brilliant Go Yellow days, raising an amazing £433.82 in support of the charity. Colleagues got behind the campaign with a colourful mix of activities, including an unforgettable gunge tank, helping to bring people together while raising vital funds for lifesaving missions.
Meanwhile, the Thrapston team held a fundraising bake sale as part of Go Yellow Together, raising a fabulous £299. The event was organised with support from Asura Sakalaite and Colette Curley, with colleagues baking, buying and enjoying sweet treats including homemade jammy dodgers.
Following their fundraising efforts, colleagues from both the Lutterworth and Thrapston sites were invited to visit the charity’s airbase at Coventry Airport. The visit gave the teams the opportunity to meet Sophie and Luke after their third mission of the day and learn more about the vital lifesaving work carried out by Your Local Air Ambulance WNDLR.
During the visit, the teams were able to see first-hand how the money they raise can help support crews responding to people in critical need. Corporate fundraising plays an important role in keeping the service operational, and activities such as bake sales, dress down days, themed events and inter-site challenges all help make a difference.
Go Yellow Together encourages businesses, schools and community groups to brighten up their fundraising in aid of The Air Ambulance Service. From yellow-themed activities to creative workplace challenges, every event helps raise awareness and vital funds for the charity’s lifesaving work.
A huge thank you to everyone at GXO Logistics Lutterworth and Thrapston for their enthusiasm, generosity and continued support. Together, the teams raised more than £730 through their Go Yellow activities, helping The Air Ambulance Service continue bringing critical care to people when they need it most.
