A passionate young fundraiser from Nuneaton is proving that age is no barrier when it comes to making a life-changing difference.
Eleven-year-old Jack Charles Bailey, who is currently in Year 6, has been fundraising in support of The Air Ambulance Service (TAAS) since the age of just 8.
Jack’s connection to The Air Ambulance Service is deeply personal. His great grandma was a passionate supporter of the charity and was rarely seen without a bucket raffle in hand. Following her passing in 2020, Jack faced a difficult period coping with loss. Determined to turn something negative into a positive, he chose to honour her legacy by following in her fundraising footsteps.

Alongside his brother, who also fundraises, Jack has helped raise over £10,000 to support the charity’s lifesaving missions by organising his own fundraising events, including coffee mornings, tombola and even go-karting events.
Jack thrives on meeting new people and sharing the charity’s story, often volunteering six-to-eight-hour shifts at events.
“It isn’t something lots of kids do,” said Jack. “So, it makes me proud of myself. It’s for a good reason and it’s making a difference for a special cause – helping people who really need it.”
Jack’s dedication has not gone unnoticed. He has received numerous awards recognising both his fundraising achievements and his wider involvement in the local community. He has also delivered talks at local schools, inspiring other young people by sharing his story and raising awareness of The Air Ambulance Service’s vital work.

Yvonne Thomas, Head of Mass Fundraising at TAAS, said: “Jack is an extraordinary young supporter and a true inspiration to all of us. Supporters like Jack make a real difference to our charity, helping us to continue our lifesaving work in the community.”
The Air Ambulance Service is a charity comprising Your Local Air Ambulance (YLAA), which covers five counties across the Midlands, and the National Children’s Air Ambulance (NCAA). The charity receives no government funding and relies entirely on donations and community support.
