Class act is ‘novel’ way to help cause

Children at a school in Hull took on the guise of some of their favourite characters when they dressed up for World Book Day to show their support for The Children’s Air Ambulance. A plethora of Harry Potters, a smattering of superheroes and a fine array of Frozen princesses at Estcourt Primary Academy raised a fabulous £400 for the lifesaving transfer service.

And it wasn’t just about dressing up as the school also carried out a sponsored readathon during last month’s holidays, where children were sponsored to see how many books they could read during the break.
