Midlands Riding Club has raised over £3,000 to support the lifesaving missions of Your Local Air Ambulance (YLAA) in Derbyshire and further afield.
Midlands Riding Club is a not-for-profit organisation created to bring people together through riding, countryside access and charitable fundraising. They organise structured rides throughout the year, from gentle summer ambles to more spirited autumn and winter outings — all without hounds and always at a pace and distance suitable for the advertised ride type.
They raised an incredible £3,400 through various fundraising activities throughout 2026 – helping to keep the lifesaving charity operational 24/7, 365 days a year.
Your Local Air Ambulance brings rapid emergency care to communities across Warwickshire, Northamptonshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Rutland. Every day, specialist doctors, critical care paramedics and pilots respond to around ten emergency missions — delivering advanced care at the scene and giving patients the best possible chance of survival.
“We are most grateful to all the landowners who allow us to cross their land, as well as to our members and supporters for the support they have shown,” said Liza Mottershaw, Pony Club Organiser.
“The charities we support have been chosen with the help of farmers and the wider rural community. We are proud to have raised funds to support Your Local Air Ambulance with another lifesaving mission,” she added.

“We receive no government or National Lottery funding for our lifesaving missions and rely on the donations from local communities and businesses to raise £2,500 needed for each mission,” she expressed.
