Stephen's story
Dad was an avid lover of motorcycle racing and could be seen at most events in the UK, especially the British Superbike championship. He was a race marshal for over 25 years and enjoyed meeting up with his extended 'marshal family', mostly for the beers and craic after a long day on post (and the homemade Sloe gin!). Away from race circuits, he was a regular season ticket holder at Welford Road, home of the Leicester Tigers, for a number of years and enjoyed meeting up with his work colleagues for the Leicester Tigers v London Irish games... mostly for the Guinness! Sadly he was diagnosed with incurable liver cancer in September 2023 and although he fought bravely for the last few months, multiple infections during the course of his treatment caused the cancer to progress into other vital organs. He sadly succumbed to this disease on 25 May 2024 and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

A gentleman of life and love and will be missed greatly by all who knew him. He is a missing cog in the wheel of our family in the UK and the extended family in Australia are deeply saddened with his passing. He fought hard and stayed positive but the bloody cancer took him from us way too soon. As a mark of love and respect for what was your passion we donate in your memory. May you rest in peace Steve 💔
Rest easy Coxy. You’ll be sorely missed!
