In Memory of

Roger Steadman

Roger sadly passed on 24 January this year and wished half of his funeral collection to be donated to this very worthy and absolutely essential service in our area.

Roger's story

Roger spent much time in Leicester Royal Infirmary some 16 years ago during a battle with cancer. His bed was stationed near a window from which he could see the helipad and it provided him with a great insight as to the tireless work of the East Midlands Air Ambulance. He spent several weeks watching your craft land and take off and observed the dedication and service that your provide to our community. It was after this stay in hospital that Roger began supporting the East Midlands Air Ambulance and asked that I donate half of his collection to you, the other half going to the parish church here in Long Clawson where he lived

What is a gift in your will?

Legacies, also known as gifts in Wills, have a profound impact on our charity, funding 1 in 7 of our lifesaving missions. Legacies are another way in which you can honour a loved one’s memory and that gift allows their memory to live on long into the future, allowing us to save lives of future generations in their name. If you have included such a special gift in your Will, you can now show that on your loved one’s page with a pledge, or you can request to learn more about legacies with our free Gifts in Wills Guide.
