Rodney's story

Rodney left school at 16 and started his working career as an apprentice with English Electric Company. He continued to work for EEC after his apprenticeship. In 1964 he joined Bristol Siddeley which subsequently amalgamated with Rolls Royce in 1968. He continued to work for Rolls Royce until he retired in 1993.

The greatest love of Rodney’s life was his motorbike. Rodney travelled all over the UK and Europe often attending motorbike rally’s. He made many good friends from throughout Europe. Many have remained life long friends even though, in the recent past, he was unable to travel to see them.

Rodney supported the Warwickshire Air Ambulance Service due, in part, to the services they have offered to bikers involved in accidents.

We have requested no flowers and instead are asking for donations to be made, here, to Rodney’s preferred charity the Air Ambulance Service.
