In Memory of Mr Brian Edwards

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Coombe Abbey Woodturners Club Member “Brian Edwards” who passed away on Monday 7th September 2026.
Brian joined the Coombe Abbey Club on 20th June 2010 and was a very active and valued member eventually taking on the position of Vice Chairman to the late Charlie Elliott who was Chairman at that time.
Brian then moved up to the position of Chairman of the club and served for a number of years until relinquishing the post.
Brian continued to support the club by actively taking part in club projects, attending demonstrations by both professional turners and those of club members and he was a regular attendee at the club workshop at “Coombe Abbey Country Park”.
Brian was a very accomplished woodturner and also excelled at “Scroll Saw” work donating many of his pieces to charity causes, in particular “The Warwickshire & Northamptonshire Air Ambulance”.
Tragically Brian lost his wife “Bridie” very recently which obviously affected him deeply as he himself had been suffering from cancer for some time.
