Michelle's story
Michelle was an amazing woman who always put the needs of others before her own.
Unfortunately, on her way to work, she was struck by a car and was trapped underneath until the emergency services arrived. Her heart had stopped for 15 minutes which starved her brain from oxygen which caused extensive brain damage to the point that she couldn't even wake up.
The Northampton air ambulance arrived on scene and transported her to the Coventry university hospital where she received treatment and was cared for for the following 17 days whilst in a coma.
Those 17 days, although she was in a coma, it gave her friends and family the chance to sit by her side, hold her hand and say our goodbyes.
That was extremely tough but being able to hold her and be with her made a world of difference for us and if it wasn't for the air ambulance, we wouldn't have had the chance to say goodbye.
We owe them so much for giving us the chance to do that so if you could, please spare a little to donate towards the air ambulance so they can keep saving lives.
