In Memory of Margaret Polkinghorne

Born in Chesterfield and a lifelong local resident, Margaret studied at Chesterfield Art & Design College, worked at Harry Fish Furriers, then was a NHS seamstress at Penmore Hospital, and later worked for NHS Home Equipment Service.

Her interests included gardening, baking, crosswords, reading and being with her family.
Margaret leaves her husband Wilfred, daughter Judith, son-in-law Del, sister Cynthia, grandchildren Adam, Anthony and Jessica, great-grandchildren Eli, Amber, Peggy, Edie, Eric and Rowan. She was predeceased by daughter Janet, son Gareth and grandson Luke.

Margaret put others first, even in her final days worrying about everyone else before herself, much like those who work for this brilliant charity. She leads a void that will never be filled and is truly missed.
