Lynda's story

Lynda was born on 28th September 1947.
She was a big sister, loving wife, caring mother, doting nanny, kind friend, and owner of an Airedale, Henry.

She started work in the Blood Bank in Manchester, then moved to Park Hospital to train as a Medical Laboratory Scientist. She made many lifelong friends there. After starting a family, she trained as a phlebotomist and went onto produce training material for that role.

She grew up in Irlam, and returned there after a stretch raising the family in Kent to be near husband Hughie’s work.

In retirement she moved, with Hughie, to Loughborough to be near grandchildren. She enjoyed making gifts and baking. She made new friends locally at the WI and a local quilt group. She took to quilting with ease having sewn many clothes for her children.

Whilst this is sad a occasion, Lynda valued getting together with family and friends.
So today, share stories and memories of Lynda in
a fitting tribute to a wonderful woman.
