In Memory of John Andrew Windle

John was just 53 years old when he tragically died in a traffic collision on the 29th of September 2021. The Derbyshire, Leicestershire & Rutland air ambulance crew attended the scene, alongside other emergency services. They did all that they could to help John, but unfortunately his injuries were just too severe.

John was born in Chesterfield in 1967, where he lived for the majority of his life. Married for 25 years to his wife Lindsay and a doting father to his daughters Emma and Sophie. Family was everything to John and he enjoyed taking every available opportunity to spend time together. He will be forever missed by a wealth of close relatives and friends. John spent most of his working life as a lorry driver and his interests included vintage lorries and cars. He enjoyed holidays with his family, walks with his labrador Archie and developed a keen interest in pipes and cigars over the years.

We will be forever indebted to the air ambulance service, for being with John in his final moments. In John’s memory we ask for others to donate, so the air ambulance can continue to help others.
