In Memory of Jean Annie Hemstock

Life began for Jean on 5th August 1931 she was born in Sutton in Ashfield to Mum and Dad Maggie and Robert Caunt having grown up with her sister Babs and brother Tony.

Jean met her husband to be through a friend, they were going to a dance and by way of encouragement Jean’s friend said that the man with the white teeth is going! And the rest as they say is history as Jean and Ken were married on 22nd March 1952 at Sutton in Ashfield Parish Church followed by a honeymoon to Bournemouth. They set up their first home together on Carlton Street in Mansfield and have four children Russ, Neil, Mark and Michelle and grandchildren Matthew, Abigail, Joe, Bethany-Iona, Jessica, and Olivia and great grandchildren Maisie, Harley, Ruben and Ryder. Jean was absolutely over the moon when she became Granny Jean, and was always very supportive with Matt spending a lot of his childhood with her and sharing some happy memories together.
