In Memory of Hedley Bernard Wilson

Born in Chesterfield and a resident for 28 years, Hedley later settled in Rugby. He passed away at University Hospital Coventry & Warwickshire, aged 96. A keen youth footballer, he was a lifelong fan of Chesterfield FC and Derbyshire CCC, and competed at golf and snooker. It was whilst on the golf course in 2005 when Hedley became unwell and the air ambulance attended and flew him to UHCW where his chances of survival were said to be slim, however he was fitted with a defibrillator. Hedley is predeceased by wife Vi. Hedley leaves children Ian, Liz and John and his wife Nik, two grandchildren Alex and Ellie and one great-grandchild Ozzy.
