Heather's story
Stephen, Alistair, Daniel, Simon and their family lost a beloved wife and mum on the 15th July 2026, following a tragic horse-riding accident near Kirk Ireton, Derbyshire, on the 14th July 2026. Paramedics from East Midlands Ambulance Service attended the scene, along with the crew of Helimed 54. Despite the extraordinary efforts of all the medical teams involved, her injuries were so traumatic that recovery was not possible. Heather had a gentle, kind, and caring nature, she will be dearly missed by everyone who knew her.
The family kindly requests donations to the Air Ambulance in place of flowers. If you are able to Gift Aid your donation, please do so, as this will maximise its benefit to the charity.
Please feel free to leave a message or share a memory if you wish, the family would be very grateful if any additional photographs could be shared privately with them.

As the sun rose on that beautiful morning and the birds were singing, no one could have imagined the tragedy that lay ahead as the day unfolded. To lose a loved one so suddenly and tragically without saying goodbye is unimaginable. Heather was a beautiful lady inside and out, a devoted wife, loving mother, treasured Nanna and much loved and respected mother in law to our daugther Grace. May you all take comfort knowing Heather will walk beside you all every day because she is deep in your hearts forever. May the lord grant Heather eternal peace,
David and Kath

There are no words that can truly express the sadness of losing someone so suddenly. Heather will be remembered for the love she shared, the kindness she showed, and the lasting impact she had on everyone who knew her.
Our hearts are with all of her family and loved ones during this unimaginable time. May she rest in peace, and may her memory live on in the stories, laughter, and love she leaves behind.
Forever remembered, forever missed.

Dearest Nanna,
Your gentle hands and patient smile, with love we still recall,
You had a kindly word for each and meant the world to all.
Your voice is still, your heart at rest that loved us well and true, bitter was the heavy path to say goodbye to you.
You are not gone, sweet and loving Nanna, nor will you ever fade, for in our hearts your memory lives and we are a part of you.
Hugs and Kisses Always,
Zara and George

To the air crew which tried to save my wife, a big thank you for all the work without which 3 successful transplants would not have resulted from Heathers untimely passing. We have always supported Air Ambulance each month and will continue to do so.
Heather would of fully supported contributions going to the Church in Eccleston and Air Ambulance in place of Flowers.
Her loving husband Stephen god bless
