Dewi was intelligent, smart, and funny. Profoundly deaf since his second birthday, Dewi was not defined by his deafness, despite the challenges and barriers he faced. Dewi was fiercely loved and supported by his parents to experience and enjoy all childhood can bring, and his talents for drawing and sport were the joys of those early years. A lifelong, loyal Swansea City supporter, Dewi could provide thorough assessments of all their games!
In adulthood, Dewi became a father to the wonderful Aimee, and her passion for animals and talent for music an echo of her father’s interests and values. He will be missed, remembered powerfully for the lessons he taught us all, and will live on his daughter’s bright future.
