In Memory of

Celia Stone

Celia was born in Hinckley, raised in Coventry (partly during the blitz) and lived for over 40 years in Rugby. Her last 15 years were spent living with family in Shrewton near Salisbury and then returning to Leicestershire where she passed away on 12th December 2023.

Celia's story

Celia was married to Roy for 44 years; had one daughter, 2 grand-daughters, 2 great - granddaughters and 1 great grandson. She liked to be busy and was a keen gardener and crafter. Her passion was Girl Guiding - for 35 years she ran a Brownie Pack and Guide Unit. She loved the outdoors life - camping and campfires. She was a community spirited person and joined the Trefoil Guild at 65, still being a member when she passed away.# She heard a talk about the Air Ambulance and was determined to help whenever the bags came to be filled or raffle tickets arrived so it was obvious that's where her funeral collection should be donated to, as well as her belongings. She would be proud to help.

What is a gift in your will?

Legacies, also known as gifts in Wills, have a profound impact on our charity, funding 1 in 7 of our lifesaving missions. Legacies are another way in which you can honour a loved one’s memory and that gift allows their memory to live on long into the future, allowing us to save lives of future generations in their name. If you have included such a special gift in your Will, you can now show that on your loved one’s page with a pledge, or you can request to learn more about legacies with our free Gifts in Wills Guide.
