A quick response 
to save Penny’s life
Last summer, a holiday to Whitby turned into a medical emergency for Penny, a 19-month-old toddler who had already faced a life-changing battle before. Less than a year earlier, at just 8 months old, Penny had undergone a lifesaving liver transplant at Birmingham Children’s Hospital. But as her family gathered for a relaxing summer break, Penny’s health suddenly took a turn for the worse.

Medic54 were called to attend a medical incident at 10.58am and were on scene at 11.12am. Assisted EMAS with patient who was assessed and then conveyed with TAAS to hospital.
Medic53 were called to attend an industrial incident at 14.55pm and were on scene at 15.12pm. Patient had fallen from ladder and sustained head injury. Assessed and conveyed to hospital for further care.
Helimed53 were called to attend an RTC at 13.34pm and were on scene at 13.52pm. Patient trapped in lorry following an RTC was assessed and taken to hospital by other services.
Medic54 were called to attend a medical incident at 19.55pm and were on scene at 20.12pm. Patient in cardiac arrest was treated and transferred to hospital with TAAS team via land ambulance.
Medic53 were called to attend a fall at 5.04am and were on scene at 5.14am. Patient sedated following impalement on fence and transported to hospital for further care.
Helimed54 were called to attend a sporting incident at 12.45pm and were on scene at 13.03pm. Patient had fallen from horse and was provided analgesia before being conveyed by EMAS crew.
Helimed53 were called to attend a fall at 14.01pm and were on scene at 14.07pm. Assisted WMAS with patient who had fallen down stairs. Left with other service for further care.
Helimed53 were called to attend an industrial incident at 12.59pm and were on scene at 13.10pm. Attended patient who had sustained injuries from machinery. Left with other service for further care.
Helimed54 were called to attend an RTC at 14.29pm and were on scene at 14.50pm. Attended an incident involving a cyclist and car. Patient escorted to hospital by land ambulance.
Medic54 were called to attend an RTC at 23.41pm and were on scene at 23.50pm. Attended and assessed patient said to have been hit by car. Conveyed to nearest hospital.
Helimed54 were called to attend a sporting incident at 15.25pm and were on scene at 15.45pm. Assisted patient who fell off motorbike sustaining suspected back injuries. Advanced analgesia administered.
Helimed53 were called to attend a fall at 11.38am and were on scene at 12.03pm. Assisted WMAS with the assessment and treatment of patient.
