A quick response 
to save Penny’s life
Last summer, a holiday to Whitby turned into a medical emergency for Penny, a 19-month-old toddler who had already faced a life-changing battle before. Less than a year earlier, at just 8 months old, Penny had undergone a lifesaving liver transplant at Birmingham Children’s Hospital. But as her family gathered for a relaxing summer break, Penny’s health suddenly took a turn for the worse.

Helimed54 were called to a medical incident at 8.45am and on scene at 9.06am. Patient collapsed in cardiac arrest. Assisted EMAS crew with life support and escorted patient to hospital.
Helimed54 were called to an RTC at 13.33pm and on scene at 13.33pm. HM54 first on scene to assess patients with one patient being flown to hospital for further care.
Helimed54 were called to an RTC at 15.37pm and on scene at 15.55pm. Patient knocked off bike and showed signs of head injury. Flown by TAAS to hospital for further care.
Helimed53 were called to a medical incident at 9.20am and on scene at 9.35am. Patient had a fit and was assessed before being left with other service.
Helimed53 were called to an RTC at 12.35pm and on scene at 12.52pm. Patient suffered chest injury following motorcross incident. Escorted by land to hospital.
G-PICU worked to transfer the SONeT team to the South in just 12mins. This journey by land ambulance would have taken nearly 2hrs.
Helimed53 were called to a fall at 16.30pm and on scene at 16.56pm. Patient had fallen at home and was given analgesia before being escorted by ambulance to hospital for further care.
Helimed54 were called to an RTC at 7.55am and on scene at 8.18am. Attended motorcyclist who was given sedation and analgesia for significant injuries before being transferred to hospital.
Medic53 were called to a medical incident at 8.30am and on scene at 8.50am. Patient found unresponsive and was assessed before being conveyed to hospital by land.
Medic53 were called to an incident at 21.28pm and on scene at 21.43pm. Attended 5x patients in conjunction with WMAS. All patients discharged at the scene.
Helimed54 were called to a medical at 10.26am and on scene at 10.52am. Patient in cardiac arrest was resuscitated on scene and conveyed to hospital for further care.
Medic53 were called to an RTC at 10.57am and on scene at 11.13am. Patient was assessed, treated and taken to hospital for further care.
