A quick response 
to save Penny’s life
Last summer, a holiday to Whitby turned into a medical emergency for Penny, a 19-month-old toddler who had already faced a life-changing battle before. Less than a year earlier, at just 8 months old, Penny had undergone a lifesaving liver transplant at Birmingham Children’s Hospital. But as her family gathered for a relaxing summer break, Penny’s health suddenly took a turn for the worse.

Helimed54 were called to a medical incident at 7.30am and on scene at 7.46am. Attended young patient with head injury who was conveyed by land to hospital for further care.
Helimed53 were called to an RTC at 12.31pm and on scene at 12.44pm. Patient sustained serious injuries and transferred to hospital by land.
Medic54 were called to a fall at 19.34pm and on scene at 20.54pm. Attended patient with serious leg injury. Crew were requested for pain relief and conveyed to hospital by land ambulance.
Helimed54 were called to a medical incident at 15.02pm and on scene at 15.18pm. Attended patient in cardiac arrest who was successfully resuscitated and escorted by land to hospital for further care.
Medic53 were called to a fall at 6.48am and on scene at 6.58am. Patient sustained multiple injuries after falling from height and was sedated on scene before being land escorted to hospital for continued care.
Helimed54 were called to an RTC at 12.20pm and on scene at 12.42pm. Requested to assist on scene with patient who had sustained head, chest and pelvic injuries. Convyed with TAAS by land ambulance for further care.
Helimed53 were called to a fall at 10.50am and on scene at 11.08am. Assessed patient who had fallen and transported to hospital, by land, for continued care.
G-PICU worked to transfer clinical partner team NWTS, to the North East in just 44mins. This journey by land ambulance would have taken over 3hrs.
Medic54 were called to an RTC at 21.07pm and on scene at 21.19pm. Patient suffering with chest and abdomen pain, but observations were stable and other service left to continue care.
Medic54 were called to an agricultural incident at 21.37pm and on scene at 22.02pm. Crew assisted EMAS and fire crews to treat and discharge multiple patients due to the additional skills and equipment carried by M54.
Medic53 were called to a fall at 3.37am and on scene at 3.58am. Assessed patient who had fallen and left with other service for transfer to hospital for further care.
Helimed53 were called to a fall at 12.25pm and on scene at 12.41pm. Attended patient who fell from a ladder. Assessed and left with other service for further care.
