A quick response 
to save Penny’s life
Last summer, a holiday to Whitby turned into a medical emergency for Penny, a 19-month-old toddler who had already faced a life-changing battle before. Less than a year earlier, at just 8 months old, Penny had undergone a lifesaving liver transplant at Birmingham Children’s Hospital. But as her family gathered for a relaxing summer break, Penny’s health suddenly took a turn for the worse.

G-TCAA worked alongside Embrace to transfer a patient to the South in just 1hr 10mins. This journey by land ambulance would have taken nearly 3hrs.
Helimed54 were called to an RTC at 15.19pm and on scene at 15.33pm. 2 patients were treated by HM54 crew before being left with ambulance service for transfer to hospital.
Helimed54 were called to an RTC at 11.20am and on scene at 11.29am. Patient had fallen from motorcycle was treated for minor injuries by HM54 crew and transferred to hospital by EMAS.
G-PICU worked alongside SORT to transfer a patient to the South in just 7mins. This journey by land ambulance would have taken nearly 2hrs.
Medic54 were called to a medical incident at 8.27am and on scene at 8.36am. Assessed patient with abnormal breaking before handing over to the ambulance crew for transport to hospital.
Medic53 were called to a fall at 4.20am and on scene at 4.35am. Assisted with the extrication of a patient who had collapsed and sustained a head injury.
Medic53 were called to a medical incident at 5.38am and on scene at 5.51am. Assisted with the sedation and extrication of a patient following cardiac arrest, and conveying to hospital by land ambulance.
Helimed54 were called to a sporting incident at 11.10am and on scene at 11.29am. Patient was assessed after falling from their horse and left in the care of other service to convey to hospital.
Helimed54 were called to a medical incident at 11.48am and on scene at 12.00pm. Patient in cardiac arrest was resuscitated and conveyed by land to hospital.
Helimed54 were called to a medical incident at 8.36am and on scene at 8.54am. Patient in cardiac arrest was resuscitated on scene before being taken by hospital by land ambulance for continued care.
Helimed54 were called to a fall at 12.00pm and on scene at 12.30pm. Patient fell from height and sustained chest injury. Analgesia administered before patient was left with other service to transfer to hospital.
Helimed54 were called to a medical incident at 13.33pm and on scene at 13.52pm. Patient in cardiac arrest was resuscitated on scene before being flown to hospital for further care.
