A quick response 
to save Penny’s life
Last summer, a holiday to Whitby turned into a medical emergency for Penny, a 19-month-old toddler who had already faced a life-changing battle before. Less than a year earlier, at just 8 months old, Penny had undergone a lifesaving liver transplant at Birmingham Children’s Hospital. But as her family gathered for a relaxing summer break, Penny’s health suddenly took a turn for the worse.

Helimed5 were called to a fall at 11.15am and on scene at 11.33am. Patient fell from height and sustained head injury. Crew were requested and flew patient to hospital for further care.
Medic54 were called to a fall at 00.42am and on scene at 1.06am. Patient fell down the stairs sustaining head injury. Assisted EMAS crew with extricate from house and transfer to hospital by land.
Medic53 were called to a medical incident at 7.58am and on scene at 8.11am. Young patient having seizure required assisted ventilation and treatment before being conveyed to hospital for continued care.
Helimed54 were called to a trauma at 14.43pm and on scene at 14.58pm. Patient who had sustained chest injury, was assessed and given analgesia before being transported to hospital with EMAS.
Helimed54 were called to a fall at 11.06am and on scene at 11.22am. Patient fell from height where we assisted with the extrication and treatment before patient was transported to hospital with EMAS.
Medic54 were called to an RTC at 12.54pm and on scene at 13.06pm. Assisted EMAS with treatment of a motorcyclist before leaving with other service for further care.
Medic53 were called to an RTC at 7.48am and on scene at 8.15am. Patient requiring critical care was assessed and transported to hospital for further treatment.
Helimed53 were called to an RTC at 11.45am and on scene at 12.13am. Patient experiencing pain in spine following RTC needed extrication and transferred by land ambulance following assessment.
Helimed53 were called to an industrial incident at 14.24pm and on scene at 14.32pm. Patient sustained upper limb and lower limb fractures. TAAS helped with pain relief and first aid treatment before transferring to hospital.
Medic54 were called to a fall at 1.38am and on scene at 1.53am. Called to support patient who was unconscious after falling down stairs. Pre hospital anasethetic given before they were transferred to hospital by land.
Helimed54 were called to a fall at 14.13pm and on scene at 14.26pm. Assisted EMAS with patient who had fallen, Assessed patient before handing over to EMAS for further care.
G-TCAA worked alongside NWTS to transfer a patient to the North West in just 35mins. This journey by land ambulance would have taken over 1.5hrs.
