A quick response 
to save Penny’s life
Last summer, a holiday to Whitby turned into a medical emergency for Penny, a 19-month-old toddler who had already faced a life-changing battle before. Less than a year earlier, at just 8 months old, Penny had undergone a lifesaving liver transplant at Birmingham Children’s Hospital. But as her family gathered for a relaxing summer break, Penny’s health suddenly took a turn for the worse.

Medic53 were called to an industrial incident at 22.36pm and on scene at 22.48pm. Patient sustained traumatic injuries and was assessed before being handed over to ambulance crew for conveyance to hospital.
Helimed54 were called to a medical incident at 8.08am and on scene at 8.22am. Patient in cardiac arrest was resuscitated by fire and ambulance crew prior to our arrival and conveyed with TAAS by land ambulance to hospital.
Medic53 were called to an RTC at 18.20pm and on scene at 18.34pm. Patient sustained serious injuries and was conveyed to hospital with TAAS for further care.
Medic54 were called to an RTC at 17.02pm and on scene at 17.03pm. Patient assessed and left with other service for further care.
Medic54 were called to a fall at 1.39am and on scene at 1.54am. Two patients assessed after falling from height and taken to hospital for further care.
G-PICU worked alongside CATS to transfer a patient to the South in just 40mins. This journey by land ambulance would have taken 2hrs 21 mins.
Helimed54 were called to a medical incident at 8.06am and on scene at 8.22am. Patient in cardiac arrest was resuscitated on scene and escorted to hospital via land ambulance for continued care.
Medic54 were called to an RTC at 19.41pm and on scene at 19.55pm. Patient critically ill following road traffic collision and was escorted to hospital by TAAS crew for further care.
Helimed53 were called to a fall at 13.06pm and on scene at 13.17pm. Patient fell from tree and sustained injuries to back and chest. Conveyed by road with TAAS crew for continued care.
Helimed54 were called to an industrial incident at 12.00pm and on scene at 12.18pm. Patient sustained minor injuries and was transported to hospital by EMAS.
Medic53 were called to a medical incident at 2.19am and on scene at 2.33am. Patient in cardiac arrest required critical care and conveyed to hospital with TAAS by land ambulance.
Medic53 were called to a medical incident at 7.56am and on scene at 8.12am. Patient had life threatening exacerbation of asthma and was treated before being conveyed with TAAS by land ambulance to hospital for further care.
