A quick response 
to save Penny’s life
Last summer, a holiday to Whitby turned into a medical emergency for Penny, a 19-month-old toddler who had already faced a life-changing battle before. Less than a year earlier, at just 8 months old, Penny had undergone a lifesaving liver transplant at Birmingham Children’s Hospital. But as her family gathered for a relaxing summer break, Penny’s health suddenly took a turn for the worse.

Working alongside clinical partner team CoMET in the Midlands, the G-CPTZ crew and NCAA Airdesk team transferred a patient and their parent to Great Yarmouth in just 55mins. The same journey by road would have taken 3hrs 25mins.
Medic54 were tasked to a medical emergency at 03:18 and were on scene at 03:33. The crew treated a child having a seizure before transferring them to hospital by land.
Medic54 were tasked to an RTC involving a pedestrian at 10:35 and were on scene at 10:59. The crew treated a patient with a lower limb injury, providing pain relief, before they were conveyed to hospital by land
