A quick response 
to save Penny’s life
Last summer, a holiday to Whitby turned into a medical emergency for Penny, a 19-month-old toddler who had already faced a life-changing battle before. Less than a year earlier, at just 8 months old, Penny had undergone a lifesaving liver transplant at Birmingham Children’s Hospital. But as her family gathered for a relaxing summer break, Penny’s health suddenly took a turn for the worse.

EXPLORE LATEST MISSIONS
Helimed53 received a call to a fall at 15.39pm and were on scene at 16.06pm. Attended unconscious patient who was anaesthetised on scene before being transferred to hospital by land ambulance.
Medic54 received a call to a burns incident at 16.32pm and were on scene at 16.40pm. Critical Care Car used to attend nearby incident. Our crew assessed patient before they were conveyed to hospital.
Helimed53 received a call to an RTC incident at 8.29am and were on scene at 8.39am. TAAS were first on scene and assessed patient and administered advanced analgesia before flying patient to hospital.
Medic54 received a call to an RTC at 21.47pm and were on scene at 22.20pm. Patient was assessed and left with EMAS crew.
Medic54 received a call to a cardiac arrest at 1.33am and were on scene at 2.00am. Patient was assessed and our team assisted EMAS crew before conveying patient by land ambulance to hospital.
Helimed54 received a call to an RTC at 14.17pm and were on scene at 14.31pm. Patient was assessed and treated before being transported to hospital for further treatment.
Medic53 received a call to an RTC at 7.21am and were on scene at 7.32am. Patient was assessed and conveyed to hospital with our crew by land ambulance.
G-TCAA worked alongside Embrace to transfer a patient from the North East to a specialist hospital in just 25 minutes. This journey by land ambulance would have taken over 1.5 hours.
Medic53 received a call to an RTC at 23.05pm and were on scene at 23.33pm. Patient was assessed and advanced skills used for treatment. Conveyed with crew by land ambulance for further treatment.
Helimed53 received a call to a cardiac arrest at 12.21pm and were on scene at 12.33pm. Our crew assisted with WMAS with the care of the patient and conveyed with land ambulance to hospital.
G-PICU worked to transfer a patient from the Isle of Wight to a specialist hospital in 19 minutes. This journey by land ambulance would have taken nearly 2 hours.
Medic53 received a call to an RTC at 2.38am and were on scene at 3.06am. Our crew assisted with the assessment of 4x patients with 2x being taken to hospital by ambulance.
