A quick response 
to save Penny’s life
Last summer, a holiday to Whitby turned into a medical emergency for Penny, a 19-month-old toddler who had already faced a life-changing battle before. Less than a year earlier, at just 8 months old, Penny had undergone a lifesaving liver transplant at Birmingham Children’s Hospital. But as her family gathered for a relaxing summer break, Penny’s health suddenly took a turn for the worse.

Helimed53 were called to attend a medical incident at 13.42pm and were on scene at 13.55pm. Patient in cardiac arrest and was conveyed to hospital by land for further care.
Helimed54 were called to attend a fall at 14.13pm and were on scene at 14.30pm. Assisted EMAS on scene with patient who had fallen from height. Transported to hospital by land.
Helimed53 were called to attend an RTC at 12.34pm and were on scene at 12.56pm. Patient was assessed and required critical care following an RTC.
Medic54 were called to attend a trauma incident at 22.48pm and were on scene at 23.10pm. Assisted EMAS with an incident at a property. Patient was assessed and left with other services.
Helimed54 were called to attend an RTC at 11.53pm and were on scene at 12.03pm. RTC involving young patient who was assessed and taken to hospital for further care.
Helimed53 were called to attend a medical incident at 9.47am and were on scene at 10.00am. Patient had cardiac arrest and was resuscitated on scene before being transferred to hospital for further care.
Medic54 were called to attend an RTC at 22.08pm and were on scene at 22.25pm. Patient had fallen from bicycle and was assessed before being left with other services.
Helimed53 were called to attend a medical incident at 12.27pm and were on scene at 12.38pm. Patient had an allergic reaction and required treatment.
Helimed53 were called to attend a medical incident at 14.25pm and were on scene at 14.39pm. Patient had fallen down stairs and suffered cardiac arrest. TAAS anaesthetised patient before they were taken to hospital by land.
Medic53 were called to attend an RTC at 19.11pm and were on scene at 19.40pm. Patient was a motorcyclist who had a collision and required critical interventions. Conveyed to hospital by land ambulance.
Helimed54 were called to attend a fall at 15.21pm and were on scene at 15.50pm. Patient sustained serious leg injury whilst climbing. TAAS worked with other services to rescue and provide treatment.
Helimed54 were called to attend a sporting incident at 15.04pm and were on scene at 15.09pm. Patient was involved in equestrian incident and was assessed and offered treatment before being taken to hospital for further care.
